The following options are available:

Alex Moiseyev estimated his cost will be: $1,200 ticket + $340 for hotel (5 nights) and taxi. And hotel is "all inclusive" + 650 feet of sandy beach from hotel. BTW, You should also consider taking your wife as a relatively wonderful an inexpensive week vacation! Ideal weather this time of year and US $ to Turkey lira is 1 to 19 which make your money buy more. There are many currency Exchange Offices (Döviz Bürosu) at the airports, touristic places and shopping malls which offers no commission money exchange.

Some Notes about Turkey: Ankara, Turkey’s cosmopolitan capital (population 6 million), sits in the country’s central Anatolia region. It’s a center for the performing arts, home to the State Opera and Ballet, the Presidential Symphony Orchestra and several national theater companies. Overlooking the city is Anitkabir, the enormous hilltop mausoleum of Kemal Atatürk, modern Turkey’s first president, who declared Ankara the capital in 1923.

Istanbul is a major city in Turkey (population 16 million) that straddles Europe and Asia across the Bosphorus Strait. Its Old City reflects cultural influences of the many empires that once ruled here. In the Sultanahmet district, the open-air, Roman-era Hippodrome was for centuries the site of chariot races, and Egyptian obelisks also remain. The iconic Byzantine Hagia Sophia features a soaring 6th-century dome and rare Christian mosaics.

The distance between Ankara and Istanbul is 352 km. The road distance is 449.2 km. The journey time is 4:30 hours. The train ticket prices start from 75 TRY (9 EUR) in 2nd class and 105 TRY in 1st class (12 EUR). On the train journey from Ankara to Istanbul you will travel by a "Yüksek Hızlı Tren" (YHT) high-speed-train with a top-speed of 250 km/h. There are at least six train connections daily. The travel distance is 530 kilometers.  USA $ is about 1-19 to the Turkey lira. (kilometer km to mile is 0.62) so 530 km = 228.6 miles
